Anna in the Tropics

Conceptual costume design for characters Santiago, Ophelia, and Juan Julian of the 2003 play, Anna in the Tropics, written by Nilo Cruz. The story follows the lively romantic, financial, and competitive disruptions of the Cuban-American people of a cigar factory in southern Florida around 1929-30. The dramatics between characters’ relationships are greatly evoked from the live reading of the famous novel Anna Karenina.
